As many of you know, Red Rocket Tattoo has a new location, as of July 2011. We’re just down the street from the old shop, at 78 West 36 St., on the 3rd floor, and the new place is bigger, brighter, and better. Since we haven’t properly celebrated yet, we’re combining our annual New York City Tattoo Convention after party with our shop’s official Grand Opening. Sailor Jerry Rum is sponsoring us, so come join us for booze, music, and food on May 19th, from 10:30 pm ’til we’re done. 21+!
We will also be at the New York City Tattoo Convention, held at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd St., between Broadway and 8th Avenue), all weekend long. Contact the shop for appointments!

Betty Rose will be featured in this year’s “Ladies, Ladies” Art Show, an exhibition of art by female tattooers. More information is here. The show will be at Tattoo Culture in Brooklyn, and the opening night party is May 17th, from 7-11 pm. That’s also the night before the first day of the New York City Tattoo Convention—stay tuned for news about that!

Danny Mirro, Betty Rose and Max Shoberg will be tattooing at the Chicago Tattoo Convention April 13th to 15th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Conventions are lots of fun, so even if you’re not sure about getting tattooed there, it’s worth coming to check it out. And if you do want to get tattooed, well, you know where to go! Adam Hays is headed back to Europe—but only for a week this time. He’ll be working with Uncle Allen and Eckel at Conspiracy Inc. in Copenhagen, Denmark fro March 12-16. Email him for appointments.

Kyle Sajban, Marcus Mancini, and Betty Rose will be tattooing at the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention, February 10th to 12th at the Philadelphia Convention Center. If you’ve never been to a convention and are in the area, it’s definitely a worthwhile experience. Come check it out, say hi, get tattooed.
